Porter House Hospitality Group PTY LTD, is seeking to employ  Cooks in the venue 106 Vale Street, Cooma. The restaurant offers a wide range of food that allows for customer preference and choice. The restaurant is an ideal venue for a wide range of conferences, functions, and weddings. The restaurant has been operating their services under Cooma Ex-Services Club.

Role: Experienced Chefs and Cooks wanted to join our busy kitchen on a full-time basis

Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 + Superannuation

Duties and responsibilities of a Cook:

  • Estimate the food requirement and do the prepping duties accordingly
  • Cooking for a very busy restaurant
  • Prepare food at correct temperatures
  • Prepares food to the specifications of clients when required
  • Label and stock all ingredients of shelves in temperature-controlled facilities
  • Preparing food according to special dietary requirements
  • Monitoring, ordering and control of stock
  • Keeps record and accounts of food purchases
  • Produce various sauces as per the standard recipes
  • Handling and operating various types of kitchen equipment and managing kitchen
  • May train other kitchen staff and apprentices
  • Working nights, weekends, and public holidays

Annual Leave: 4 weeks

Working Hours: 38 hours / per week

Work experience: At least two years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.


Cook: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or Hospitality
